ISAIAH 61:4
“They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.”
Hi, I’m Kristy.
Isaiah 61 Design LLC began long before I started this business. It began in God’s heart when He surveyed a broken landscape filled with broken hearts – and was compelled to redeem and restore every part of it.
God designed all of creation so humanity could flourish while loving Him, caring for each other, and cultivating creation for the good of all.
But it doesn’t take the wit of Sherlock Holmes to recognize that’s not the world we live in.
Not yet.
God is the greatest Artist and most compassionate Healer. He’s personally invested in seeing His creation thrive as He intended.
So God took on flesh – Love became a human being – and walked among us. In Jesus, God demonstrated how much God loves us – and what it looks like, what it feels like, for us to love God.
Through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God has inaugurated the beauty of His Kingdom through the redemption of every part of our lives.
Including our homes.
“Almost Accidental” Beginnings
Isaiah 61 Design, LLC began almost by accident. In 2013, my husband began serving as a pastor in a small, urban church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I started refinishing furniture to earn extra income for my family… often from what I found being given away in alleys.
With a little paint, a lot of elbow grease, and uncontainable bursts of creativity, I saw God’s promise in Isaiah 61:4 being fulfilled right before my eyes.
What was devastated was being restored to display beauty and provide joy!
People fell in love with the transformative impact of my work on their homes. So did I. Clients continued to ask for more interior design solutions until I was redesigning entire rooms — and entire homes!
I’m honored to be invited into such a personal and meaningful component of people’s lives — transforming their homes. It brings me such joy to see lives changed when people’s homes reflect the best parts of who they are — their hearts.
Now, living near the Twin Cities area, I’m eager to watch God pour out His redemptive beauty from Minneapolis to New Richmond and everywhere in between.
